[net.philosophy] t-rationality

laura@utcsstat.UUCP (Laura Creighton) (08/27/83)

I have just had 2 requests to explain what "t-rationality" is.
Sorry that I was not clearer earlier. "T-rationality" is a
trick taught to me by Alan Wexelblatt. In this context it
means "Tom-Craver-rationality-that-is-as-defined-by-him-and-we
wont-have-to-fight-over-whether-it-is-the-same-rationality-as-
Laura-Creighton-rationality-or-Alan-Wexelblatt-rationality-or
"real"-rationality-assuming-that-"real"-exists-which-has-yet-to
be-proven-and-is-a-whole-new-can-of-worms"

You can see why I like the abbreviation better. It is quite easy as
well, you just write your article in your favorite editor and
then globally change all occurances of 'X' to 't-X'. (people whose
favourite editor does not have global substitutions should probably
send me mail -- i probably have some wonderful news for you!)

If I ever refer to 'l-freedom' or 'l-rights' I will be talking about
"laura-creighton-freedoms-that-is ..." (but you've heard this before).
