[net.philosophy] Synergetics

Has anyone read Buckminster Fuller's book, "Synergetics"?

Can anyone summarize in 50 lines or less what it means?

Does anyone know where to find an English translation, that is,
a book with similar content but written in normal English rather
than Fuller's metaincomprehensible tetrahedron-infinite-
dymaxioned-English-like-metaprose?

A quote from R. Buckminster Fuller himself:
"You have to make up your mind either to make sense or to make money..."

I wonder what his choice was?

I have an otherwise-intelligent friend who claims to understand some of
it, but also says that it will be decades before anyone (but Fuller)
completely understand it.

I think it will be much longer than that.
