# I, too, am very fond of "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" (reading it for the second time now; also a major factor in my buying a motorcycle!). Just last night I was looking thru Knowledge Index for other works by/about Pirsig. Here are some sketchy notes I took: "The Zen Environment: The Impact of Zen Meditation", co-authored with Marian Mountain (Morrow Books(?) 02/1982) $12.50 -- you should be able to find an entry in "Books in Print" for this one. "On the Scene", an article in Playboy: volume 21 page 252 December 1974. The following two citations are in reference to "Zen ...". One is about using the book as the basis of survey questions in people's feelings about technology; the other is an interpretation by B F Skinner of the book's rhetoric (sorry, I forgot which is which): "Psychological Record" 1979 Winter vol 29 #1, pages 57-64 "Psychological Reports" 1978 August vol 43 #1, pages 3-9 I haven't looked these things up in the library yet so I have no idea how useful/valuable they'd be. I'd be interested in hearing about other works by/about Pirsig as well.

# The book "The Zen Environment" by Marian Mountain is NOT co-authored by Robert Pirsig -- he simply wrote the Foreward. Sorry about that.
