I would like to expand just a little further on the subject of energy transfer. The newtonian model is a simplification of reality. In the real universe ( please note I'm trying to be objective now ), the interaction of matter will always include the entropy effect. Energy will be lost to the external environment. You can't isolate two bodies unless you somehow create your own universe. ( which you did when you created your model ( I'm being subjective now )) This is what prevents you from building a perpetual motion machine. How this relates to PSI energy? Barely. I think that Ms. Maclaine might have to brush up a little on her vocabulary if she wants the support of the scientific community. Her using the word energy implies that she doesn't understand much about physics and the basic limitations that reality enforces. I would not be likely to take her views seriously. However, I don't think her views are PURE fantasy. I think she has to take a closer look at how they work. I think perhaps the scientific community is sometimes overly critical of other professions. I feel that if she thinks she knows something valuable, she should take the time to research her beliefs before publicizing them. Anything else is premature and is likely to end in damaged reputations. Her confidence implies that it has been a long time since anyone's taken the time to correct her. She probably needs to know a little more psychology, or physics, or both. That is something she COULD do with the royalties, not that she will. I am not convinced that this is a serious interest of hers. I have reservations towards trusting her. < what do I need skill for, I have a mind > (DEC E-NET) KIRK::WILLIAMS (UUCP) {decvax, ucbvax, allegra}!decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-kirk!williams (ARPA) williams%kirk.DEC@decwrl.ARPA williams%kirk.DEC@Purdue-Merlin.ARPA
