I know it sounds funny, but I have seen them in the Apple "Blue Book" and I would like some more information. The systems I saw had similar capabilities, such as allowing "unsophisticated" users to design a screen layout, and then automatically setting up files, along with allowing design of reports, etc. I'm interested in systems using SUPERKRAM or some similar Btree indexing utility, all in BASIC (sorry, that's all their Apple II+ has), mapping into (but not necessarily) a relational database, and requiring no more than two disk drives. I'd like to hear about: CONQUEST REQUEST or any others you have heard about. I'd like prices, if you have them, but I'm most concerned about how reliable they are, performance, gripes you have if you've used them, etc. Any suggestions are welcome; I'm developing a very small, simple database, but want to save myself some time. I also want my customer to be able to modify it or to add applications of his/her own. Speed and space considerations are not yet important, but may become that way in the future (don't they always?). Please respond by e-mail or to net.micro.appl as soon as you can. Thanks.
