I agree with all of you that Macintosh and Lisa/2 are neat and snaz-ee machines and wonderful to look at on the inside. But these are techy raves. It will take more than a superior technology to defeat IBM... just as IBM was capable of capturing the market with an inferior technology. Remember that IBM already has a huge client base and an even larger VAD and retail/service network for its PC. Technology alone won't save Apple... nor will it defeat IBM (but we can hope and pray heh heh).

What are you talking about? I don't believe it is apple's intention to "defeat" IBM. I believe that they want to compete with IBM. They are not fools. Defeating IBM is an impossible task. Apple has provided in the Mac an excellent alternative to the IBM so-called standard. Ben Priest -- !ihuxm!brp
