<> I received a product announcement from Stellation Two for a coprocessor board for the Apple II/IIe using a MC68008 (8-bit data bus version of 68K). Stellation Two also makes a 6809 coprocessor board, which I have used quite a bit and am very happy with. The 68008 board, together with 68K FigForth, is advertised at $169 (!); $229 with a 6502-to-68000 cross assembler. This seems like a really cheap way to get your hands on a 68K system, but it is unclear how useful it would be. The board uses the Apple's memory and clock so it would not be a real dramatic increase in performance over the 6502. However, it might be fun to fiddle around with while waiting for your Mac.
