I recently made a "discovery" about MacPaint which might be appropriate to share, since it is not mentioned in the manual, and I don't recall seeing reference to it in any article about MacPaint. Use the selection rectangle to cut or copy a selection to the clipboard. Open another selection rectangle and then select the paste function from the edit menu. The selection that you previously cut will appear in the new selection rectangle and it will be stretched or compressed to fit the new rectangle's size. Thus, there is an implicit stretching operation performed when pasting to a selected area. Did everyone else already know that?? Kim Helliwell hplabs!analog!kim
