this is a really slick modification for converting an apple II+ to upper/lowercae control. I didn't think of it, I just use it. Anyway, run a wire from the shift key connection on you keyboard (as you are standing over the front of the computer, this is the second connection from the right) to pin #12 on the game I/O socket (again, standing above the comuter ad looking toward the back, this is on the right side of the socket, fourth from the bottom). That's it. Every time you hit the shift key, it sends a value to the game AN connector (on/off). Software can read this location, if it is high, it massages the ascii value from the keyboard to uppercase. Note: you must have software that looks for this.
