[net.micro.apple] 1200 & apple ][+

mark@digi-g.UUCP (Mark Mendel) (08/23/84)

I am contemplating upgrading my apple ][+ to a 1200 baud modem.
I have a couple of questions:

- Can the apple keep up? Is anyone currently running such a configuration?
My current modem software is written in FORTH. Can FORTH on an Apple keep
up? I also do a fair amount of keyboard/screeen translatin to handle full-
  ascii.

- Any leads on a good, cheap serial interface card for the ][+?

Please resond via mail.

I use an Apple II+ at 1200 baud all the time with no problems. I'm
using Ascii Express the Professional for a terminal program. AE Pro
is fantastic, by the way. I could go on for a long time telling you
how pleased I am with it.
