[net.micro.apple] Apple kept the elevator

I can hardly believe all you moaners and groaners that bought a "cute"
little Macintosh and now you feel shafted. I think Michael Ward summed it up
very nicely: "You've been stupid enough to cough up the bucks so far..."

Anyone who buys a computer and isn't familiar with the pitfalls involved
should ask someone who is for help. Anyone who is familiar will tell you
never to buy a new product till it's been out there for 6 months and you can
see what it will do. Falling prices along with semi-annual upgrades are
almost constants in the micro business. I have yet to buy anything, from a
plain dumb terminal to a whole computer system, that hasn't dropped in price
within a few months. Even after waiting 6 months to see how it stands up on
the market.

I was slobbering over the Macs in the store when they first came out, but
after 6 months I wasn't hungry anymore. I got a box of crayons at home if I
want to draw pictures (they'll do colors!). You guys think you got the shaft.
I think you were bending over with your cheeks spread when you bought your
128K Mac.
