As a new owner of a Macintosh, I'm a bit bewildered by all this anger vented at Apple. I admit to some empathy to those upset by Apple's marketing strategy but I think when you're up against big blue, you have to do something to survive. Some of the stuff is a bit overpriced but I love my Mac so I guess I'll grin and bear it. I think the idea of waiting until you're sure about buying is correct. I also feel that not buying something unless you really NEED it is a good idea. NEC and some others are coming out with Mac compatible printers in the next few months I hear so I'm going to hold off on getting an imagewriter. Q: Public domain software for Mac--I don't have a modem on my Mac yet but I'll gladly send a blank disk, SASE, or donation to anyone who can get me some uncopyrighted SW. Q: Anyone use MacForth or do any applications programming or find out what it really takes to do 68000 assy lang programming on the thing? Also, any news on Modula-II for Mac yet? Is the Basic package any good (i.e. speed, bug-free, etc)? Q: Is there a net.micro.apple.mac yet?
