If your problem is that VI doesn't use the top half of the screen
or top two-thirds) then I would guess that the problem is actually
a feature of VI. What happens if VI looks at your baud rate and
says, "You poor soul, you're only running at 300 (1200) baud. Rather
than make you sit and watch as I redraw the screen everytime you
do anything, I'll make like easier for you and only use 2/3ds (half)
of it."
If that is your problem, the fix (if you want it) is to add a line
to your .exrc (or EXRC variable in the Cshell).
set wi<[ndow]=24
And there you go.
On the other hand, if this doesn't sound like your problem...
...I haven't the slightest idea what you should do.
