[net.micro.apple] Cheap Upgrades

kubic@reed.UUCP (Kubic) (10/22/84)

Just another thing for the net to dwell on: I have been given to
understand that user group "A.P.P.L.E." has made available a how-to
manual for the "technically inclinded" to do a home upgrading job
for their Macs. I don't know how this would effect their warranties.
If people are really dying for this info I will try to get some more.

I would be very interested in the technical details of a Mac upgrade. Please
post any information you might have to the net.

Yes, I think that you should post the upgrade details for the Mac.
Also, if there are enough people in netland that want to do the
upgrade themselves, we might want to consider purchasing the 256K chips
together to get quantity pricing.
Does anyone have the current price breakdown for 256K DRAMS
(mine are quite out of date), and a list of potential sources?
