[net.micro.apple] apple ad

murlocker@water.UUCP (murlocker) (11/20/84)

In this week's Infoworld (Nov 26) apple has an ad that says

"If you're one of the 2,000,000 owners who've made
the Apple II, II+, IIe, and IIc the world's
leading family of personal computers, please
	 call: 800-862-7753."

Can anyone south of the border tell me what happens if you
call? Do you win something? :-)

	Thanks

Just a "thank you" recording.

I thought they might be doing a recall or offering to give me
my money back. If you call you get a recording of a bunch of
people saying "thankyou". I believe that they are trying to
get rid of excess cash before tax time. The wall street journal
had a full page ad...
