[...] I have just finished talking to the guys at Megamax and was notified of a new release of the package. This new release has a few things all of you have been yelling about. 1: It now has the mini-finder from the compiler and the linker, no more typing in those file names. 2:It now supports the creation of drivers and desk-accesories. 3: The linker has been improved. (It is now a little faster). There are also a few misc. bells and whistles to be added. In the next release they hope to include a smaller editor (Hooray! 50K+ was just slightly too big). Also the enum types and the other stuff from that proposed revision. Not to wave my flag again, but these guys have put out a rather good package. It out benchmarked all of the competing packages, it comes with a librarian, it is rather well documented, supports floating point, register variables, bit wise stuff. It produces reasonably compact, double clickable code also. To top it off, its NOT copy protected (My hard disk loves it) and it is marketed at a fair price, $299 (Quantity discounts, etc.) -- Tom (Flip) Phillips The Ohio State University osu-eddie!tepj

Just a bit of news for Megamax fans... They will soon (next couple months probably) have a cross-compiler available for UNIX. I don't know how it will be distributed. Mike McNally
