I have a card that has ram in the 256 byte rom area for that slot.
It makes the writing of a custom I/O driver very convenient.
I have a printer driver that works fine with basic and most software,
but it fails with some software like the Merlin Assembler.
Somehow Merlin is deciding that the custom driver on my card
is not a printer and sending the wrong stuff.  What is it
using to make this decision?  Is there some standard for I/O
drivers that I don't know about?  

And how do I make my voice do this?
