Has anyone on the net used one of these beasties? A friend of mine
recently purchased one, and after installing it ( hardware-wise and properly
configuring it ) it works fine on several programs like locksmith 5.0 etc,
Here's the problem: Prodos will not recognize that the card is there in
the second slot. In other words, since prodos doesn't know its there and
appleworks uses prodos... appleworks doesn't acknowledge the presence of the
additional memory and gives a memory error if you try to load more than 10k
to the desktop! Yet locksmith 5.0 ( normal dos ) uses the card with up to
128(additional)k and quick copies a disk in about 20 seconds!
Does anyone know of a way to make prodos acknowledge and use the card
or has anyone figured out a program or subroutine that will change the parameter
that prodos uses? I'm not terribly good with prodos' inner workings...
any insight would be appreciated-- thanks in advance
