I have two disks which have glitches. Unfortunately, I do not have
backups for them. Does anybody know of a utility program out there for the Apple II+ which I can use to retrieve all or part of the information
on them? Thanks in advance.

Well, I have Beagle Bros. Apple Mechanic, which contains a utility called
'Disk Zap' - A sector editor which should do everything you need it to.

It works well for me, and I consider it well worth the price. Shape and
Sound editors are also included. Check it out.

Thanks for the info on LIFESAVER. I'd be interested in looking more
into it. If you should find out who sells it, I'd appreciate your
letting me know. Thanks again.

Thanks for the response regarding my problem with the bad disks. I'd
be interested in borrowing a backup of the utility disk you referred
to. Please let me know how I can receive a copy. Thanks again.
