An esoteric question which is very important to me: When one is using an operating system (ProDOS or DOS 3.3) and enters a line, the line is checked for validity by the operating system. If it can't swallow it, it is passed on to Applesoft in ROM. So, if I were to type: 100 PRINT "FISH" ProDOS (or DOS) wouldn't like it, and Applesoft would get it and parse / tokenize it. Question : What is the call to parse / tokenize a applesoft line? I am writing a unix-like shell under prodos, and I'd like to be able to program in BASIC just as easily under it (that is, by just typing program lines, rather than invoking an editor or otherwise exiting the shell). I could care less about the opinions of csuh or unirot.
