Has anyone investigated the interaction between Locksmith and the Titan Accelerator //e. The Titan people advertize hardware trans- parency between the Apple and its Accelerator card. This has been true for all software that I run except Locksmith 5.0 and 6.0. My machine is a Apple ][+ with the Accelerator card in slot 0. When trying to use Locksmith 5.0 to do fast COPYA type backups a data disks, the program hangs. I originally thought that this might be due the 6502 - 65C02 instruction set difference. I eliminated timing loops from consideration by initializing the accelerator card to run at normal speed. Locksmith 6.0 boots to the main menu but does not accept keyboard input. This occurs when running normal or accelerated. The workaround is initialize the accelerator card to disengage at boot time; however, this leaves me with a 48K apple. The arrange- ment is satisfactory but not the way advertisement states it should be. Have any other accelerator users noticed this phenomenon? T. MacGregor
