Amid reports of success stories using DCOM 3.2x on Apple //c's, two people have reported that a problem exists. Here is a letter: ----- But, when connected, the first column of characters is still thrown out. I managed to get through to the net here at Tech one time, but when I typed my command and it connected here to the Pyramid, the program started sending out an inverse line up the left side of the screen and no commands worked. It had done this earlier before dialing, if I had reset things by turning the modem on and off. (the command to do this normally, "atz" didn't work because after one time, it froze the screen - in fact, it returned the "k" of the "ok" reply, which means that the program is also cutting off the first column when it is only local.) ----- If ANYONE has had this problem, please send mail. If anyone has had this problem and FIXED it, please send mail. I would like to have this solved before the next distribution. VIDEX 80 COLUMN CARD DRIVER: The videx screen driver is in it's final testing stages, as well as a keyboard driver that can use a non-lowercase keyboard (with the shift key mod) on real early ]['s and ][+'s.
