I have an ancient Apple communications card, the one that only supports two baud rates at a time. I've been using it for some time with it jumpered to run at 300/1200 baud rather than the original 110/300. I recently tried to set it up for 1200/4800, following the directions in the user manual, and it just doesn't work at either baud rate. The computer locks up and needs to be reset after accessing the card. (and that is using a program that does I/O by bypassing the card's onboard software). I've checked the wiring several times, and even redid it, with no success. I seem to recall reading somewhere, maybe in a magazine or in the Apple technical notes that used to be distributed to user groups, that there is an error in the wiring diagram for this jumpering scheme, but I can't find any such reference. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ross Alford ...mcnc!ecsvax!alford
