I have recently bought an enhanced Apple //e. Looking through the literature on the //e, many assemblers are mentioned. I am interested in the pros and cons on the ProDOS based assemblers for the //e. Thanks. Don Klett mtgzz!dsk (201)957-5652

I am interested in the pros and > cons on the ProDOS based assemblers for the //e. Thanks. I personnaly like the ORCA/M assembler from the ByteWorks (Used to be marketed by Hayden). Prodos ORCA/M was used to define the syntax of the 65816 processor to be used in the new Apple. It will assemble 6502, 65C02 and 651816 code. It has an extensive library of subroutines for everything from keyboard input and Prodos calls to double hires graphics. You can also get a floating point math package as a separate library. With all of the prewritten subroutines included in this assembler, its almost like programming in a high level language. Rick Fincher
