IMHO, the mouse has a much more accurate glide and feel. It's a bit heavier, and rolls smoother, giving what seems to be very precise control. It certainly is the nicest feeling mouse Apple has come up with so far. The keyboard, although I'm not 100% fond of the layout (an arrow key cluster would have been nice) has a much better feel than any keyboard Apple has ever made in the past. Its got enough weight to it (unlike the PCjr's extremely light keyboard) which makes it stay on your lap when typing. The keys don't require that full (somewhat ridiculous) stroke that it takes to type on the Macintosh. It has a pleasant tactile response (not soundling like so-many mousetraps going off like on the IBM PC's keyboard). I think the designs were excellent. I am curious to see anyone do better.
