I am beta testing a new release of DCOM a very acurate vt100 emulator for the apple // line. So far only minor problems have crept in. The new version 3.3 from 3.21A supports screen dumping to the printer and "stream" dumping to the printer. Some emulation facilities were touched up. Supported hardware: host: Apple ][, ][+, //e, //c, (should work on //gs in emulation mode) serial: Super Serial Card and SSC lookalikes ALS dispatcher and lookalikes. (I.e. ccs7710) Dumb pascal compatible type cards //c serial port. keyboard:Dumb apple keyboard with shift-key-mod. True upper/lower case keyboards. 80col: Videx videoterm (although it's slow...) //c builting 80 columns. //e Apple 80 columns. (Does not work w/ ramworks card.) DoubleVision (old!) 80 column card. Modem: Hayes compatible with pulse or tone dialing (for Ungerman/Bass Net/One direct connect dialing) Dumb (do nothing driver) Printers: Just about any. Each software module may be modified to allow for new hardware to be accepted into the DCOM system. It will appear in net.sources with an anouncement in net.micro.apple in 2 or 3 weeks. (Midterm exams and the like tend to delay things...) -Jim Hayes, UC San Diego.
