Greetings from "the Land of the Morning Calm" ... I walked into the Post Exchange yesterday and found an interesting sign near the Apple Computers. This sign said "If you have purchased an Apple 2e, we have (some micro-chip number) available to upgrade your 2e. These chips will increase the speed of your computer and are available free of charge if you bring in your sales receipt and old micro-chips." After discussions with the computer sales person and store manager, I was told that my computer was old enough for the upgrade, but since I had not purchased my computer from the exchange, they would not give me the upgrade. Is this offer an offer from Apple, Inc., or an offer from the Post Exchange? What does this upgrade do? What are alternate routes I can pursue to get the upgrade? Thanks in advance. Gregory Hicks for Ken Boeglen Since I am not on the Info-Apple distribution list, please reply directly to me at ghicks@korea-emh or jusmag-jp@korea-emh

PLEASE, if anyone has the answer to the question about the "free" upgrade in the PX, post it to Info-Apple! Thanks, Brint
