I remember reading in a recent issue (one or two months old) of A+ magazine about a card that goes into a /// and makes it compatible with a //c or //e, I forget which. Sincerely, Stephen Willson Northrop Research and Technology Center Palos Verdes, CA willson@nrtc.northop.com

In the Dec '86 (current) issue of A+, Gary Little ansers this exact question. In summary, he says that the Apple ][ emulation on the Apple /// uses memory that is necessary to run ProDos to instead run Applesoft. Therefore, the basic Apple /// cannot run ProDos. The recent availability of the III Plus IIe Card from Titan Technologies makes it possible to run ProDOS and to emulate the //e. A previous article in A+, July,'86, "Apple III Alter Ego" discusses this hardware. -- ==================================================================== David Robins, M.D. Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Foundation (previously known as: Smith-Kettlewell Institute of Visual Sciences) 2232 Webster St; San Francisco CA 94115 415/561-1705 (voice) {ihnp4,qantel,dual}!ptsfa!ski!dr The opinions expressed herein do not reflect the opinion of the Institute!
