Personally, my mother stayed at home and supervised us kids (so to speak) until the youngest (myself) was about 13, then she took off and got a job to return to the working world. The point that is clear in my parents household, though, is that my Mother can stop working as soon as she becomes too bored with her job. Seems like a great solution...if the kids start freaking out, Mom can become a full-time mother (pardon the phrase) for a while, but if they are OK, then she can wander the ends of the Earth.... As Denise said, I agree; I'm also well adjusted, and I saw less of my mother when she WASN'T working! (when you work, you tend to lose interest in thousands of social activities.....) This is a bit incoherent, but I thought that I'd strike while the proverbial iron was hot. -- Dave Taylor
