Regarding Vickie Klick's comments regarding the right of individuals to make moral decisions: who else to make them? Admittedly, one probably does not want to give anyone free rein to do whatever she or he wants, but there are a large number of moral decisions which can and should only be made by the individual, and I believe whether or not to have an abortion should be one of them. The purpose of the legal system in this country is NOT to make our moral decisions for us, nor to give us any sort of moral guidance. It's clear to me, at least, that in many ways the legal system as it exists now is a very \immoral/ force in today's society.
