Out of curiousity and personal experience, I would like to hear your views (yes both male & female) on how exactly do you tell if you are being discriminated against on the job. I'm not referring to physical abuse, but who out there has gotten the mental strain/stress put on them of.. 'you're just a WOMAN, I'll just see how far I can push you to see if you CAN stand up for yourself', or 'You may know more about x and y, but since I am a man, I know more in totality, therefore I am more qualified to perform'... I'm sure other examples exist... I just get so tired of being 'put to the test'. What if you were the only female on your site, and, being human, arriving at work an average of 5 minutes late habitually... ALONG WITH YOUR MALE COHORTS. Your boss pulls you aside and chews you alone out for your irresponsibility, etc. Is this discrimination? Or just an example of not getting along with someone...(I could write a book on my situation)? Thanks for any responses. Judy (csu-cs)
