I'm getting a bit tired of all the outrage at the "woman as president" question. Sure, we'd all vote for the best PERSON for president. In fact I'll bet the decision process goes something like this for many voters: First check the (say, two) candidates on the issues most important to you. Now suppose they stack up about equal on these. Then you might move to other means of comparison in order to make a decision (rumor has it a large portion of Jack Kennedy's votes were cast on the basis of his good looks). Now are you willing to say that the gender of the candidate NEVER enters in at any level? That all things (besides sex) being (vaguely) equal, you'll flip a coin? Not me.
