I am in favor of new.women.only. I wouldn't mind men subscribing to it, but
they should exercise restraint in submitting to it. I notice that most, if
not all of the people objecting to net.women.only are men. Some even say
that if it is "women-only" stuff, then maybe we shouldn't be discussing it
on the net. Well, where do you think we are going to find other women-type
professional people to talk to? There is only ONE other female software
engineer type on this floor! Since we work all day, it is not like we have
lots of time to socialize with our neighbors either, and devote some amount
of time to our families, or even (dare I say it?) devote some time for
OURSELVES!
