[net.women] Public Washrooms

Jeff, what you don't know about female physiology could fill an Encyclopedia!

The menstrual period does not induce exhaustion. Pain, yes. Irritability,
yes. Water bloat, yes. Even violent temper in some women (y'see, the
lowering of the female hormones makes 'em more like men). But NOT exaustion.

Those little lounges are used for smoking, for changing babies, and for
feeding babies (breast feeding in public is frowned upon).

I see no reason that men shouldn't be given a couch for their restroom,
but considering the other perks that come with being a white male in this
society, I wouldn't complain about inequality, if I were you. After all,
someone might come along and equalize things, and THEN where would you be?

about it...)

response to Ariel (sorry if I sound sexist, but that's a pretty name) Shattan:

Pardon me if I sound like "The Final Frontier" [space, for you non-Trek fans],
but are you sure it was I who mentioned menstruation in my discussion of
anterooms to women's restrooms? I thought I referred only to corsets. There
was another semi-flame article (responding to mine); sorry I can't remember by
whom, but it was he who talked about the difficulty of finding a place where
he could change his baby's diaper, not I (I have neither wife nor child); and
it was probably he who spoke about other related topics.

Is that intended to be an insult? Was my article THAT obnoxious? If you
think I'm a horror now, you should have known me 8, or 6, or even 2 years ago!
(This is not to say I'm anywhere near perfection; I don't claim that I'm all
that easy to get along with. But I surely have not acquired so soon the
undesirable reputation attached to certain other netters whom I will safely
not name.)
