[net.women] Restroom discrimination

riddle@ut-sally.UUCP (09/05/83)

I hate to bring this up, but as a middle-class American male with a
number of leftover middle-class American male hangups, I find it rather
unlikely that I would make much use of a couch in a men's room even if one
were provided. Public restrooms can be slightly scary places and certainly
aren't very relaxing. And even if I have become sophisticated and liberal
enough in my old age not to be disconcerted by the graffiti artists' fan-
tasies about making dates for blow-jobs, I can't be sure that some of the
queer-bashers who might want to stop by for a pee don't still take such
things seriously.

Now, a nice quiet co-ed lounge with provisions for taking a nap might
be another story.
