There aren't too many bands out there in musicland that touch the lives of feminists and politicos in a positive, energetic way. This gap is being filled lately by a (believe it or not) Top 40 group called the Parachute Club. Canadian netters may have heard then already; Americans should push for the right to do so. It's hard to describe the music without getting as rabid as the feeling hearing it produces. They call it New World Music -- a blend of Aquarian conscientiousness with ethnic beats... more to come.
