there are lots of long, varied rock pieces. Among them: "Who Do You LOve" from Happy Trails lp by Quicksilver Messenger Service 25 mins of jam done in 1968 or "69. Good example of San Fransisco acidfolkrock. "Gates of Delirium" from Relayer by Yes , and others, e.g. "Yours is No Dis- grace" and "Starship Trooper" from The Yes Album, and the title track from Close to the Edge. "Ashes Are Burning" by Renaissance great pop rock classical mix "Inventions for Electric Guitar" lp by Manuel Gottsching's Ash Ra Tempel long multitracked synthesized guitar, like an electronic Mike Oldfield hard to find import. Most other Ash Ra lp's have long compositions or jams "Supper's Ready" by Genesis acoustic and hard rock "666" lp by Aphrodite's Child, with Vangelis -spoof on the last days, almost an opera of pop, rock, progressive styles Tangerine Dream has lotsa side long pieces "John Babbycombe Lee" lp by Fairport Convention British folk rock and lots, lots more cosmic Ray

One "long and varied rock piece that many of you may not know is the live version of "Do it Clean" by an English group called "Echo and The Bunnymen". They have about four albums out as well as an EP (on the EP is where you find the live version of Do it Clean). If anyone's actually interested in finding out more about these guys just send me some mail.
