An interesting speaker is coming to the Beaverton area. I saw this announcement in the Tektronix weekly newspaper. Dr. Judah Landes, clinical and consulting psychologist, will be prinicipal speaker at the Oct. 20 meeting of the Oregon Council, American Electronics Association. Dr. Landes, who specializes in treating programmers, engineers and their families, will speak on the topic, "The Care and Feeding of Engineers, Scientists and Other Perfectionists". ...will discuss the incidence of work related stres in high-tech companies, plus communications problems expercienced by the industries high achievers, at home and on the job. Greenwood Inn, Beaverton, social hour at 6pm, dinner at 7pm. Tek has a person taking care of our reservations. If a non-Tek employee needs more info, I think the Greenwood in would be have a phone number to get in touch with someone from the AEA. Costs about $20. I've heard the same speaker on a video cassette. He is a very animated, fun, somewhat outspoken person.
