Jeff Winslow would probably be left breathless by some of the things I
take offense at. Like, having been in a stable relationship with one
women for about 3-1/2 years, I take offense when my parents or her
parents drop in without warning, suddenly (but temporarily) re-united
after months of transcontinental traipsing, bickering over who's entitled
to what, whining about how they got the wrong end of the marriage, blah,
blah, etc. And then, oblivious our presence, they will refer to us as
"the children". Boy, do I take offense at that. If that's maturity,
I'll just stay the way I am, thank you.

While at Cornell, my roommate dated a woman named "Sidney".
He used to have trouble when he introduced her to others,
because they almost invariably started calling her "Cindy".

Any more "reverse" name stories out there?
