There was some discussion awhile back in women.only about
replacements for no-longer-appropriate cusswords. Well,
I submit for critical lambasting:
"Audit You!"
"They really Audited you over, didn't they?"
". . . Auditing-offspring-of-an-accountant"
and "What the Fritz?!" (or should this be in net.politics?)
It may be that we could get Audit onto television's "list of deadly words".
Can you imagine all the euphemisms the tax people would come up with to
avoid saying, "We're coming over to audit you." ?
