Some people, it would appear, want the best of both worlds: equal insurance
payments ("statistical evidence that women live longer than men? phooey!),
lower premiums ("statistical evidence that women have fewer accidents than
men? of course!").

The word for that, I believe, is "hypocrisy".

I have never said I believed unequal premiums for men was right.

Women have had to fight for their rights and are still fighting
for those rights and to prevent discriminationn.
Is there some reason why men cannot fight against discrimation
when it happens to them?

I feel a need to defend myself ( silly me) against charges of hypocrisy
made by Mr. Debray. I did not say that I thought higher car insurance
premiums for men were right or fair. I was merely saying that I have
enough battles to fight already.
