Interesting -- the ex-wife gets the children, and the husband is supposed to pay child support. Many is the man who has wished to keep his children, and been willing to pay for the privilege, only to have the court "award" them to his ex-wife, and force him to support the children that had been taken away from him. When my mother divorced my father, even though German law would have assured her child support, she said "I am keeping the children, I will pay for them," being more fair-minded than the stereotyped woman. My father, under no legal obligation, continued to send some support money anyway (not as much as a court might have required, but then, he was raising a second family). If you keep a child, you should pay for it. "Visiting privileges" are a mockery. Nasreddin Hodja -- The above is my personal opinion. In all probability, everyone else disagrees!
