I find myself quite offended by the vast majority of what Trish had to say
about males (the 14 point letter, to be specific.) She seems to think
that the entire male population has sex on the mind in the forefront of any
male/female relationship. I would strongly disagree, as most relationships
that I have seen seem to place sex in an extreme tertiary role to the exchange
of ideas and affection (if indeed sex doesn't serve to cloud a relationship.)
While Trish seems to have been badly nailed with the set of male friends
she hung around with, I can scarcely see the vast majority of north american
males as being sexual predators (as it would seem the diatribe would have us
out as) and have to wonder at how she came hold this belief.
Then again, my circle of friends and I may well be incredibly warped.
(Or I suppose, incredibly naive.)
