I cannot recall which of the groups had the various comments about the different needs of women and men regarding public restrooms, so I'm trying the three most likely choices. Anybody who participated in this discussion, or has any interest in the subject, hie yourselves over to your nearest main public or university engineering library, and look at the June 1984 issue of DOMESTIC ENGINEERING. (This is a magazine directed at architects, designers, and contractors.) The cover story is "The Public Powder Room", and it directly addresses the issues that were discussed here on the net, plus cites actual studies and research on the subject. I just happened to notice the cover while scanning the magazines in the Applied Science section of the St. Louis Public Library, and was amazed that such an apt coincidence of coverage on what seems to me to be a rather esoteric subject came to my attention. So now you all have the benefit of this fortuitous encounter. Lucky you. Will
