Tsk, tsk. A sports columnist the other day, criticizing Mary Decker's recent behavior (regarding her fall in the Olympic 3000 meter), said the runner could no longer be thought of as "America's Sweetheart". I say, if it takes such behavior to get rid oneself of a demeaning and patronizing label, then rave on, Mary Decker!!! (Can you imagine the press referring to Carl Lewis as America's Sweetheart?)
