On the matter of women fighting men for their rights, or promoting cooperation with men to gain equality: I have argued quite strongly for the latter, but it would appear that there are men who simply do not respect women enough to treat them as equals. To preach cooperation to such men (or to women who feel inferior to the men they are being urged to cooperate with) seems like a futile exercise. It appears that a good many net.women readers *do* accept women as equals and are ready to cooperate to solve problems of roles, etc. One can perhaps ask, then, that women try to determine the nature of their audience and preach cooperation when it is likely to be effective. Sadly, on the net there does not appear to be universal acceptance of sexual equality, so the combative tone may well be warranted. Still, it'd be nice to see some articles offering ways of cooperation now and then, even if they do fall on some deaf ears.
