First, for those who think that rape is a sex crime, a 4-year-old girl was raped over the weekend in N.Y. The police say that the same person attempted to abduct a 15-year-old and a woman (age unspecififed) earlier in the day. Those two attempts failed, so he grabbed a child on the street. Clearly, she was leading him on... In Florida, a man was convicted of raping his wife while they were still living together. They had had an argument; she claims that he grabbed her, tied her to the bed, and raped her. He claims that it was a consensual act. The jury took only two hours to rule against him. --Steve Bellovin
