[net.women] more equal pay

Certainly a piecework home envelope stuffer trying to make ends meet
works long harrowing stressful hours, and is owed higher wages than a
corporate president, with few stresses outside the job. One of these
two carreers is female dominated though, and is paid a lot less.
Look, cynical viewpoints aside, equal pay for equal people in
equal jobs (with a little slop for bargaining) I agree with. I refuse
to believe that anything but what the market will bear can tell you the
relative values of various jobs. If you want more money, find the highest
paying job you can stand. Don't demand that somebody fix the system to be
slanted in your favor, because that gives somebody else too much power over
the masses.
