Sunny: I discarded your private posting to me complaining of my "Will the REAL woman's movement please stand up?" because it mentioned abortion in net.women and net.women has a charter, blah, blah, blah. Then I thought you deserve a reply. So sorry to send it in the clear, but here it is. ------------------ While it is true that the posting mentions the subject of abortion and a current public debate, (and I even posted it to net.abortion slightly changed), the TOPIC of the piece, as seen in its title is CLEARLY not over the issue of abortion per se. It is about the current state of the 'women's movement'. I think that your complaint shows that either you did not bother to read the posting or are a pedant (who has the blessings of St. Supercillia) who objects to the very word abortion appearing in net.women. In line with the new image I am trying to foster on netnews, I do not want to upset your sensibilities - even if they ARE those of a Visgoth point-man - and I wish to assure you that I will try in the future to maintain the proper balance when posting to net.women. I can NOT assure you that I will always post things that agree with your point of view vis a vis women's issues - Should I??? Visgoths are modern people who hang out at 7-Eleven stores drinking Dr. Pepper and singing and dancing.
