[net.women] Raisa Gorbachev's occupation

I've heard that Raisa Gorbachev has a doctorate in philosophy and
teaches at Moscow University. Is this true?

I seem to remember that nobody even knew that Andropov was married
until his wife appeared at the funeral. It seemed kind of funny to
me that the combined might of all the western intelligence services
was unable to find even this out.

WHAT???? The first time I heard of Raisa Gorbachev was when Mikhail (sp?)
Gorbachev visited the U.K. to meet with M. Thatcher (is that M. for
Margaret or Mrs. or Ms.? :-) and it was all over the news how personable
BOTH of them were. And that she has a doctorate and teaches. Remember,
this was before Andropov even died. Not until the funeral???

Not only that, she has nice Western clothing. What a classy lady!

No, no, no. What nobody knew was that *Andropov* was married,
not Gorbachev. Actually, I'm not sure if I read this about
Andropov or Chernenko.
